Description: This four-story hospital was designed to accommodate a future two-story vertical expansion. The 130,000 sq-ft building was designed as seismic, and utilized field bolted moment connections. The large shop welded moment paddle plates added to the complexity of the project for detailing, but ultimately reduced erection time and was faster than field welding the moment plates.
