phase of Epic's
multi-phased, new headquarters project included a 425,083
sq-ft learning center (Voyager Hall) and the 195,888 sq-ft
5,300-seat auditorium named Epicenter. The aggressive schedule completed the
more than 600,000 sq-ft of customized space in 27 months. This project
incorporated the latest developments in construction with the use of
"green" building elements that enhance sustainability and of
Building Information Modeling (BIM). This intelligent 3-D modeling was used
for coordination of structural steel and HVAC systems. It brought owner,
architect, engineers, and builder onto the same page, literally.
